Investable Bet
Gate™

Fund, Park, or Kill. Every AI initiative gets a clear verdict — documented, defended, delivered.

The Problem This Solves

Without a forcing function, executive teams defer decisions indefinitely.

Pilots accumulate. Nothing gets killed because no one wants to take responsibility for stopping something that already has budget and a champion. The result: resources spread thin, momentum dies, and the board loses confidence.

The Investable Bet Gate removes ambiguity. Every initiative receives one of three verdicts, and that verdict is documented.

How It Works

Three discrete outcomes

Fund

Resource now. Named owner, budget, timeline.

The initiative has passed all four Value Zone filters and is cleared for execution within the 90-Day Cadence.

Park

Revisit in 90 days with defined conditions.

The initiative has potential but fails one or more filters currently. Specific conditions must be met before reconsideration.

Kill

Stop. Recover capacity. Redirect resources.

The initiative has failed filters with no realistic path to passing. Sunk cost is acknowledged and released. Capacity freed for funded bets.

When It's Applied

At the workshop and at every cadence review

Workshop Day 2 — COMMIT

Initial verdicts

After the Value Zone Method™ filters on Day 1, the surviving initiatives receive Fund/Park/Kill verdicts on Day 2. Each funded bet gets a named owner, budget, timeline, and kill criteria.

30 / 60 / 90-Day Reviews

Ongoing accountability

At each 90-Day Cadence™ review, funded initiatives are re-evaluated. A funded initiative can be parked or killed at any review if kill criteria are triggered or evidence shows it should not continue.

Connection to the Board-Ready Pack

The Portfolio of Bets — one of four Board-Ready Pack deliverables — documents 3–5 funded workflows tied to value buckets, with named owner, metric, baseline, kill criteria per bet, and status: Funded / Parked / Killed (with rationale). This is the document the board sees.

Stop deferring decisions

Every pilot deserves a verdict. Fund it, park it, or kill it.
